I know I'm a little late on this bandwagon, but have you ever seen the book page wreaths? There are many different styles and at first I didn't care for them. But lately I've been thinking about it and decided I wanted to make one. Seriously, one of the easiet projects ever.
I even had all the supplies on hand. So the project was free! I used pizza box lid to make the circle. I grabbed an old dictionary that had pages fallling out and some glue sticks. That's it! (I did spray paint the sides of the book brown, just to give the pages a more vintagy feel)
Then I just rolled up the pages and starting gluing them around the circle. I mean, really, sooo easy. And since I'm not a perfectionist, never will be, and honestly don't see the need to, its ok if they are different sizes. When I got to the inside section, I cut the pages in half and rolled those up. Then just layer, layer, layer until it's as full as you like. For the hanging thing on the back, I just hot glued a piece of ribbon in a loop. That was it!
For the actual "instructions" I followed the tutorial on Shabby Creek Cottage. Although I didn't do that centering thing where she started with the first rolls in the quadrants. I would have, but I didn't see that part until I had already started. I just eye-balled the whole thing. And for the middle, not all the pieces were exact, I just trimmed it into a uniform circle with some scissors.
